Customer Reviews

We enjoyed the safari although the guide did not make contact in the beginning with other guides to hear where the game was. When I asked him why he doesn't do it, he said sometimes one must do their own thing? Later when het made contact, we received news about a leopard. Compared to what I previously experienced, he was not good. - MOULINS

We enjoyed the drive but found that the times had changed. Instead of departing at 16.00, we departed at 17.00. The first one and a half hours of the drive was lovely.. The latter was too dark to see any animals and a waste of time. - Carol Kurz

We booked a night drive with Mankwe Game Trackers departing from Bakgatla at 17h00 and returning at 20h00 way after dark. Tshepiso aka Promise was our ranger-guide for the game drive - he did a splendid job of it. The night drive was worth every cent, we had wonderful sightings of lions stalking giraffes with youngsters among them, elephants, rhinos (at sunset next to the water - see cellphone photo attached), all sorts of antelope, owls big and small and even small chameleons in trees which Tshepiso has shown to us (see cellphone photo attached). Tshepiso switched off all the lights in the dark to show us the stars and recognizable formations among the stars. On our way back to Bakgatla we encountered two beautiful lion brothers walking in the road towards us, for sure the cherry on the cake for an unforgettable night drive. Thank you Mankwe Game Trackers for allowing us to depart and return an hour later than the winter scheduled times for afternoon drives, we surely appreciate that a lot. We will definitely book game drives with Mankwe Game Trackers again. - Johan & Wida du Plessis

We loved the game drives! Our Rangers did their best and showed us all the animals they could. It was a wonderful experience!! - Barbara Aubert Casas
