This is 2nd time we did this tour this year. The first tour was in January but was a public group tour. Our tour this time was in June to celebrate mone and mum's birthday. It was my mum in law from abroad's first safari ever! The guide was very knowledgeable and took time out to explain and name birds for us both in English and Sotho. He was mindful that our mum's were comfortable and enjoyed themselves. Although no lion was spotted this time we had memorable encounter with some rhinos and had to wait for them to clear off the road. The guide shared great knowledge around lion prints and rhino dung ! We (5 people) decided to rent a 10 seater for our private little safari. We were picked up at the hotel. The driver was a very nice guy who provided us a very comfortable and exciting ride through the Pilanesberg game reserve. We enjoyed the big car because it gave us plenty of space for game watching and photography. It was a great afternoon and we would do it again any time. - Harald
