Customer Reviews

Overall a great memorable experience. I booked about a week before via website and email exchange but eventually had to phone to sort out the fine details as I had only once free day out of a Johannesburg hotel and required transfer from and back to the hotel. Email-only communication was not easy. It all turned out fine. My driver Sammy was at the hotel on time to pick me up and drive two hours to the reserve. The vehicle was a very comfortable Hyundai SUV. At the reserve, I had about an hour to wait before the group departure. There is not much to do there and the weather was getting bad. We finally set off and immediately started seeing animals. The guide was good. We managed to do half the ride before the rain and half of it in the rain. That was a bit disappointing as the light for photography was not so good. But the rain and mud added to the adventure sensation. Overall we saw very well two of the big five: elephants and rhinos. And lots of other animals as well. And I made some great photos. I recommend this game drive. It's really good for the price. I wish you better weather. - Kevin Nirsimloo

The comments made by my American visitors were very positive. The drives were enjoyed by all of us. - Theo Rappard

We enjoyed it, and would definitely do it again. Walter was just awesome! - Lynette Lotter

Good day, thanks for the opportunity granted for sharing my experience. The game drive was okay but it could have been better. I thought maybe out guide was a bit tired that day when I had brought my guests from overseas for a game drive. Always, the reason for my early drive is for us to get a chance to see rare nocturnal predators. When an opportunity came, that is when news was going around that there were lions near Bakubung dam, our ranger just took his time, stop at some common animals, and just going slowly to the lions, we were so desperate as though somebody was in his car to rush to the animals. We eventually arrived and could only see them at a very awkward distance when we could have been accorded a chance to see them at a close range. I must say I come often to the Park, but on that day I think we covered a small area for the time we spent in the Park. I do hope next time I will thoroughly enjoy the ride. And I do understand that there is room for improvement. - Diseko..Anglican Diocese Of Matlosane

The game drive was great! Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful guide. We saw three of the big five, with close-up views of elephant and rhino. We did struggle to find the meeting point at Manyane Resort - we drove around in the dark for about half an hour before finding someone who pointed us in the right direction. Thankfully we made sure that we got to Manyane in good time. Clearer signage at Manyane or provision of a map beforehand would have been helpful to those like us who travelled in from outside the reserve, and were not familiar with Manyane, - Peter Honiball
